The Yoga & Creativity Space

Please note! The Yoga & Creativity Space simply provides the facility for the teachers and classes. You will need to contact the teachers directly to find out about prices and booking. 

If you are coming to a class know that mats, blankets, and props are provided but do feel free to bring your own. There is a cloakroom to change and store your belongings and a kitchen to get a glass of water.

MONDAY

Lunchtime 1 - 2.30pm Yoga with Anushiye Yarnell

This class follows pathways to unfold natural movement patterns, through Yoga Asana. Flexibility and Strength are approached experientially and qualitatively- finding freedom to carrying oneself with breath, ease and connectivity. The practice combines dynamic and relaxing elements which can be accessed according to each participants individuals needs. 

Anushiye has been been practicing Yoga for over 20 years. She began in the intensively Hatha tradition and also studied and practiced Ashtanga, Iyengar over some years. The most prevailing and sustaining source of her practice and teaching is from the application of Scaravelli Inspired Yoga, Somatic Practices and Body Mind  Centring. Her teaching is governed by sensitivity, an experiential approach and based on the principle of pleasure which (sometimes paradoxically) coexists with other elements of life experience.

Evening 7.00 - 8.30 pm Hatha Yoga with Christina McArthur

Christina’s classes are based on a broad range of practices which are safe, relaxed, friendly and fun. You will build strength and improve flexibility through posture (asana) practice, reconnect with your breath, relax and ultimately experience a deep sense of stillness. This class is suitable for beginners and those who have more experience. Please wear something loose and comfortable.

Evening 6.30 - 8.00 Hatha Yoga with Hannah Nunn.

Hannah is excited about how the effects of a yoga practice can begin to weave into every day life and she would love to inspire people to practice at home. This class will use relaxation, yoga postures, breathing, meditation and yoga nidra (deep guided relaxation) to help you develop peace of mind, stability, flexibility and lightness of spirit. Over the weks you will gather tools to manage your energy in every day life. Once a month we will do a full restorative practice providing deep rest and quiet to build your inner resources. Suitable for beginners and for those with more experience.

FRIDAY

Morning 9.30 - 11.00 am Hatha Yoga for Creativity with Hannah Nunn

A special class to honour and nurture our creative selves. Whether you are a practicing ‘creative’ or you would just like to invite more creativity into your life, this class will use yoga postures, meditation, breath work and nidra (deep guided relaxation) to bring awareness to and enhance the creative process. This class will include space each week to nurture an idea or listen out for those quiet creative whispers. Over the weeks you will gather tools to calm the mind, build stability and confidence and navigate the sometimes turbulent terrain that comes with wanting to create things in your life! Once a month we will do a full restorative practice providing deep rest and quiet to build your inner resources.

Hannah found her passion for yoga 25 years ago and has been practicing and learning ever since. The realisation that yoga was affecting her creative practice has led her on a journey to find out as much as possibe about how and why that might be happening. She studied kundalini, tantra, yoga nidra and ayurveda with Rod Stryker, Kate Silcox and Uma Dinsmore Tuli and she did her teacher training with Yoga Campus.

Sunday afternoon 3.30 - 4.30 pm Yoga Nidra and Crystal Sound Bath with Natalie Seager. (The first date for 2020 is February 2nd and the next one will be 8th March).

Natalie's crystal alchemy sound bath incorporates elements of yoga nidra with a focus on rest and relaxation. No active yoga is involved, it is a space in which to simply rest, receive and leave feeling deeply nourished. Enjoy drifting off to a guided body scan and ethereal soundscapes of Crystal Tones alchemy singing bowls.
